Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac back with your first Sports Report of the week! We took off on Friday…so we’re catching up on a few things today! But before we get into the scores and news…did you see what happened at the Tour de France? Yuh-yoh! Check this out!
OUCH! I gotta tell ya…this is the main reason why I’m not a competitive cycler. That…and the fact that I prefer traveling via a car.
HUY, BELGIUM – JULY 06: Riders collect themselves after a crash with 65km left to race in stage three of the 2015 Tour de France from Anvers to Huy on July 6, 2015 in Huy, Belgium. (Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)
I mean…how do this NOT happen all the time? These guys are packed in together like sardines, going 100 miles per hour, zigging and zagging through the mountains of France, with spectators everywhere…I’m surprised this doesn’t happen every day of the race!

Not to belabor the point…but I have no fear of wiping out in my Subaru Forrester when I’m driving through the hills of Vernon Valley or Montclair! Plus…can play my tunes loudly and rock out…which I believe is not feasible in competitive racing!
FINHAUT-EMOSSON, SWITZERLAND – JULY 20: Gorka Izaguirre Insausti of Spain riding for Movistar Team lies on the ground afer crashing during stage seventeen of the 2016 Le Tour de France, a 184.5km stage from Berne to Finhaut-Emosson on July 20, 2016 in Finhaut-Emosson, Switzerland. Bottom line…I salute all of the participants in the Tour de France…but be careful, folks! These crashes are no bueno! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!
