Major League Baseball held its annual Home Run Derby last night…and Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays won the Home Run Derby…and because his father…Hall Of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, Senior…also won the Derby…they are now the first father-son duo to win the event! Pretty cool!

Vladimir Guerrero, Sr. won the event in 2007 …and Vlad Junior was there in attendance! How awesome is that! Can you imagine if we get a Vladimir Guerrero The Third who’s also awesome like his family? I think there’s a chance!

Even though he never wore pinstripes (I’m an admitted proud Yankee fan), Vlad Senior was one of my favorite players. Old school guy: no batting gloves, no wrist bands, no elbow protector and shin guards while at the plate…just him and his bat. And he could hit anything. What a slugger.

MLB All Star Game Tonight!
Tonight is a fun staple of Summer as the 2023 Major League Baseball All Star Game takes place. Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole of the Yankees were selected to be on the American League team…of course Judge is still dealing with a toe injury so he won’t be playing. The Mets had Pete Alonso chosen to represent their team at the game. Nick Castellanos and Craig Kimbel will be the Phillies on the National League team.

Wembanyama Shutting Down For The Summer
The San Antonio Spurs have decided to shut down number one pick Victor Wembanyama’s summer league season….after the seven foot five future star dominated…and also…since the summer league is in Las Vegas…this will keep Victor away from Britney Spears…who was recently harassing the young man.

Suh Takes Shot At Rodgers
NFL defensive star Ndamukong Suh took a shot at the Jets’ Aaron Rodgers yesterday…as Suh said that getting Rodgers does NOT turn them into a Super Bowl contender.

Unexpected American Win At Wimbledon!
Wimbledon is going strong and we have a good American story on our hands as Christopher Eubanks, a young man who played tennis for Georgia Tech, has surprisingly made it to the quarter-finals. He’ll be matched up against the third best player in the world in Daniil Medvedev.

Lastly…he’s done football and baseball…now Tim Tebow is gonna do hockey! Tebow will be the new owner of a minor league hockey team in Lake Tahoe. Not a bad resume…Heisman trophy winner…NFL playoff win…minor league baseball player…hockey team owner.
