  • 5.) Casino

Starring Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone…this epic film looks at the rise of Las Vegas and the mob’s influence over gambling.   Brilliant soundtrack.   Brilliant directing.   Brilliant performances.   Amazing movie.

  • 4.) Gangs Of New York

Daniel Day-Lewis delivers one of the greatest villain performances ever while Scorcese teams up with frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time ever in this brilliant picture.   An epic and visually stunning masterpiece of a movie.

  • 3.) The Departed

Another tremendous Scorcese film with DiCaprio…this movie is a masterpiece as it examines the Boston criminal underworld and stars Jack Nicholson in his first and only Scorcese picture.   The film would also get Scorcese his first Acadmey Award.

  • 2.) Raging Bull

With all due respect to Rocky…THIS is the single greatest boxing movie ever.   Hell…it may be the best SPORTS movie ever.   An absolute iconic film that earned Robert DeNrio the Oscar for Best Actor.

  • 1.) Goodfellas

Come on…is there any other choice?   Goodfellas gives The Godfather a serious running for the greatest mob movie ever.   Period.   I’ve probably watched Goodfellas 500 times…and I’ll watch it 500 more.   It’s perfect in every way.   And it’s Martin Scorcese’s best film.
