Ok so it’s not often in my time on this planet I have gotten to say this, but the Jets have a pretty good team heading into next season.
Much like the Giants they are ahead of schedule when it comes to rebuilding the team. Some would argue that Gang Green has more talent on their current roster that didn’t even make the playoffs this season, than Big Blue does, who made it all the way to the divisional round before being knocked out by the Eagles.
However there is one thing that the Giants, Eagles, and just about every other successful team in the NFL has, that the Jets do not. A Quarterback.
Zach Wilson? Nope. Mike White? Nah. Chris Streveler? No Sir. Joe Flacco? Are you kidding me? That is the past. Not saying any of these guys might not be on the team in 2023, but it’s quite clear the New York Jets are in the market for the best starting veteran quarterback they can find. Unfortunately for them, that list isn’t very long. Between available free agents and possible offseason trades, we have come up with five possible answers for the Jets need.
One thing is for sure. Nothing comes cheap.
So Jets General Manager Joe Douglass and Owner Woody Johnson have some work to do before mini camp gets under way in the Summer. Work that has to be accomplished in a timely and uncomplicated manor, so Head Coach Robert Salah and the rest of the Jets coaching staff, especially new Offensive Coordinator Nathanial Hackett can get on the same page with this blossoming team.
So with that here are our top 5 choices for the next new New York Jets Quarterback. Let us know what you think. More importantly let the Jets know what you think!
