All About The Mets
Let’s start with baseball…where the Mets split a doubleheader with the Tigers yesterday…but finally got their first win of the season…so that’s good. In Game 1, they lost in extra innings to Detroit…6 to 3. Met pitcher Michael Tonkin received the loss.

But in Game 2, they won 2 to 1. Pete Alonso tied up the game in the 9th inning with his 2nd home run of the season. And Met outfielder Tyrone Taylor singled home the winning run to walk it off for the team…who ended the day at 1 and 5.

Panic Time, Mets fans? I mean…let’s be honest…the New York Mets have not won the World Series since 1986…that’s a long time. So… a question for the fans…is it panic time yet? Your team fired Buck Showalter for new manager Carlos Mendoza…but things haven’t panned out thus far. I know it’s early…but you gotta be worried. Yankees Have Home Opener Today
The Yankees and Phillies were off yesterday. Today the Phillies play the Nationals in D.C. Meanwhile, the Yankees celebrate their home opener today as the Yankees play their first game in the Bronx against the Blue Jays at 1:05 PM (Eastern). Marcus Stroman is scheduled to start for the Yankees…who are 6 and 1 to begin the season. Let’s go!

Knicks Win But Get Bad News
Over to basketball. The Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak with a nice win over the Sacramento Kings last night…120 to 109. The Knicks’ Jalen Brunson had 35 points and 11 assists…while Josh Hart added 31 points and 8 assists in the win.

However…the Knicks also received some bad news…as Knicks All Star Julius Randle will have to have season-ending surgery due to that shoulder injury he suffered weeks ago. That sucks!

The 76’ers beat the Cavs…109 to 105. Joel Embiid had 29 points, in the victory for Philly.
The Nets were off. They next play on Saturday.

Hockey Tonight
Hockey. The Devils, Rangers, and Flyers were all inactive yesterday. Tonight the Rangers take on the Red Wings.

Chiefs Receiver Now Seems To Have Been Driving Car In Crash
Football. Update to that story about Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice and the car-racing incident. Two days ago, Rice’s lawyer told the media that Rice was just leasing one of the cars. Now, Rice’s lawyer says Rice was indeed the driver of one of two speeding sports cars who left after causing a chain-reaction crash on a Dallas highway. When asked why Rice left the crash the lawyer simply said “that’s a good question.”
