The last time the Jets were on Hard Knocks was 2010 when Rex Ryan was the head coach and it’s maybe the best season that the show ever had.

I just hope, like 2010, that we get a Joe Namath cameo this year!   Either way…I’m super-pumped for this season!   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

  • Casey Introduced As Yankees' New Hitting Coach

The Yankees introduced their brand new hitting coach, Sean Casey, the former Cincinnati Red and analyst for the MLB Network.   Casey replaces Dillon Lawson, who was fired by the Yankees on Sunday.   Casey had a career batting average of .302 over 12 seasons with the Reds…where he also made three All Star teams.   Casey says his broadcasting role has prepared him for this job because his main focus is to break down players’ swings on the air.   The Yankees are currently batting .231 as a team…28th among the 30 MLB teams, ahead of only the Tigers and A’s…and they’ve hit a league-worst .218 since Aaron Judge went down.

  • Bonds Wants To Be In Cooperstown

Staying with baseball here for a second…interesting story here…Barry Bonds says he belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame.  In a recent interview, Bonds said: “I went to the court, I was in federal court, and I won my case, 100%.  Where is the vindication of me in my own sport?  That’s what bothers me.”   Will Bonds ever get in?

  • LeBron Not Retiring...Yet

At the ESPY Awards last night, LeBron James put to bed rumors that he was considering retiring.   LeBron said today is not the day and that he still wants to play in the NBA.   Last season LeBron averaged over 28 points, 8 rebounds, and almost 7 assists a game…so I’d say he’s still pretty awesome.   But he had mulled retirement after his L.A. Lakers got swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

Wimbledon.   American Cinderella story Christopher Eubanks lost yesterday to the Number 3 player in the world in Daniil Medvedev in five sets at Wimbledon.   It was an excellent quarterfinal match in which Eubanks had a 2 sets to 1 lead…but Medvedev came back to win.
