Good morning, Sports fans!   It’s your pal Davey Mac here and today is a very, very dark morning for Yankee Universe as our year has collapsed like a dying star.   Our season is over.

The Yankees lost Game 4 of the ALCS to the Astros last night…6 to 5…and have been eliminated (yet again) by Houston as the ‘Stros advance to the World Season and the Yanks go home.

With the Yankees leading 5 to 4 in the seventh inning…a critical botched play by IKF and Gleyber caused the immediate unraveling of the season.

Houston went on to score two runs, take the lead, and not look back.

The Yankees simply came up small in the biggest situations.

Josh Donaldson’s nightmarish postseason continued as Donaldson was feeble at the plate.

So what does this mean now that another Yankee season ends in disaster?   It simply means that General Manager Brian Cashman needs to get FIRED as the Yankees desperately need new blood in the front office.

Cashman has been the GM for 24 years…it’s time for a change.

Hal Steinbrenner needs to step up and make this happen.   Fire Cashman.   And stop being cheap.   You are the New York Yankees…according to Forbes magazine…the most valuable sports franchise in the world.

It’s time for Hal to take out the wallet and sign young SUPERSTARS.   Not IKF.   Not Donaldson.  Not Aaron Hicks.   Etcetera.    Sign BIG TIME players.   Period.   And fire Brian Cashman.   I’m Davey Mac.   That’s my two cents.
