Good morning, Sports fans!   It’s your ambassador of athletics here…Davey Mac…and we’ve got an epic Sports Report for ya this morning!   Basketball and NASCAR news!   Hockey and Aaron Rodgers updates!   And…of course…the Super Bowl!   But first!

Did you see that Yankee legend and Major League Baseball Hall Of Famer Derek Jeter will be joining the FOX Sports MLB team?   Jeter and company made the surprise yesterday at the Super Bowl.

Jeter will be joining his one-time teammate (and one-time riva) Alex Rodgriguez in the studio for what should be a great team.   In recent months, the two Yankee legends have discussed that they have put all baggage behind them…and are getting along these days.   Imagine that…Jeter and A-Rod…together again!

And especially since Jeter recently left his job running the Miami Marlins as team President…he’s probably still looking to stay involved in the game…and a broadcasting job can keep one connected.   A nice, pressure-free broadcasting gig probably sounds A-OK to the Captain.

All in all…I’m looking forward to seeing Number 2 on the mic and analyzing the game.   Certainly, Jeter is one of the smartest (and best) to ever play the game.   I’m Davey Mac…that’s my Sports Two Cents!

  • Chiefs Beat Eagles To Win The Super Bowl!

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl last night…38 to 35.   The Chiefs hit a last-minute field goal to win it all.  Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the MVP.   Mahomes was 21 for 27 for 182 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.    He also rushed for 44 yards as well.

  • Eagles' Mistakes

The Eagles has their opportunities…but also made some critical mistakes…Philly QB Jalen Hurts committed the only turnover in the game.   That fumble led to a Chiefs defensive touchdown.   But still…the Eagles were up 10 points at half-time…however their defense simply couldn’t stop Mahomes in the second half.   Mahomes went down the field with ease.   And while there was a controversial call at the end of the game when Eagles cornerback James Bradberry was called for defensive holding…Bradberry himself said after the game that the play was a hold and he took responsibility for committing the penalty.
