Captain Tom Moore Got Knighted On Friday
MARSTON MORETAINE, ENGLAND - In this handout image provided by Capture the Light Photography, Colonel Tom Moore and his daughter Hannah celebrate his 100th birthday, with an RAF flypast provided by a Spitfire and a Hurricane over his home on April 30, 2020 in Marston Moretaine, England. Colonel Moore, formerly a Captain, received a promotion in honour of his 100th birthday and in recognition of the funds, in excess of £29m, he raised for the NHS by walking laps of his garden. The 100 year old guy who walked from his front patio straight into England’s heart received his nation’s highest honor…
Captain Tom Moore was knighted by the Queen at Windsor Castle last Friday.
Back in April, he set a goal to walk 100 laps on his back patio before his 100th birthday to raise money for England’s National Health Service… He ended up raising over $40 million.
Plus he inspired countless others to do the same thing… I think there’s a guy in Minnesota who is STILL walking…
