FulFill Staff Responds To Major Spike In Local Need
The Morning Rat Race feature, “Who’s Helping” puts the spotlight on people stepping up for the community.
A brief conversation with Kim Guadagno, the President and CEO of FulFill, caught us up on the shocking increase in food assistance requests in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Since the beginning of social distancing and non-essential personnel shelter-at-home, FulFill has served an enormous amount of families. They’ve provided 460,000 more meals compared to the same period of time in 2019. That’s an incredible amount of food.
First off, if you need food assistance you can text the words “findfood” (no spaces) to 888-918-2729 and you’ll receive immediate information about food pantries that are close to you.
Secondly, if you are in a position to donate to FulFill, please click here.
Here’s our interview with Mrs. Guadagno:
This food assistance is crucial to people in our area as it allows them to use the funds that they do still have to provide other necessary things (ie; a roof over their head, electric, heat, etc.)
WRAT is continuing our efforts to highlight people who are helping out during these times… Who’s Helping? If you or someone you know should be interviewed, please email [email protected]
