How To Make A DIY Face Mask Without Sewing
If you don’t already have a face mask, you might want to get your hands on one now as more cities and states require them if residents wish to venture into the outside world.
What if the stores are all sold out and you’re not so handy with a needle and thread? That’s not a problem thanks to this no-sew DIY hack using items you probably already have around the home.
You can either grab a heavyweight cotton t-shirt, pillowcase, or bandana. With two hair ties, rubber bands, or strips of cotton fabric, you can fashion a facial covering using just a few folds.
A recent study by Cambridge University suggests cotton is the best for the homemade route, while the CDC says to go with a thread count of at least 180.
