(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Ruby Bones “Vultures”
Rocking Two Ton Brewing in Kenilworth on May 19 and Ghost Hawk Brewery in Clifton on June 8!
Ruby Bones is back with a great new single! You can find “Vultures” on all streaming platforms and check out the video on YouTube. The track is part of a continuing series of single releases that will eventually lead to a brand-new album. Speaking of the new release Ruby Bones singer/guitar player Chris Fox said:
“’Vultures’ is the hero’s collapse in the face of an omnipotent force, a full yelling-to-the-heavens triumphant moment of saying “let’s go out with a bang, gimme all you’ve got!” I think we nailed the feeling.”
The Video for “Vultures” was directed by Matthew Lawrence Cohen. Rhiannon Boyer stumbled upon the project and became the “accidental” Director of Photography. That aspect tracks with the feeling of the new single and it’s accompanying music video. Chris Fox said”
“The video is pure goofery, an anachronistic telling of Matt joining the band, with us having standards of pure coolness he had to meet but eventually it became the band giving into his nerdy energy. We did it ourselves because nobody should be spending $10K on a video in 2024, plus it’s honestly more fun that way. I think we spent $200 on dumb bird costumes to make it happen.“
Beyond the new music video, Ruby Bones has a lot planned. More music is on the way and live shows are on the schedule. Chris Fox said:
“Our next shows are: May 19 at Two Ton Brewing in Kenilworth and June 8 at Ghost Hawk Brewery in Clifton. We’re gonna keep releasing singles until the one or two albums I have in my head are done, then put them out as full releases. Till then, come catch us party. “
