If you’re like me, you love to drive around on a weekend night in December with the family and a thermos of coffee or hot cocoa and check out all the Holiday lights!

I always have much respect for the folks that put there electric bill in the rear view mirror for a month, and decide to go for broke. Literally. You know these people I’m talking about. I like to refer to them lovingly, as the Clark Griswalds of the world. Big hearts, big ambitions, big lights!

Special Screening And Q&A Of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" With Chevy Chase

Sometimes it’s best to leave it to the pros!

Although they are getting more and more prevalent, top notch family home displays are harder to find and require a lot of “driving around” and looking. So with that said, I have come up with a list of “professional” Holiday light displays right here at the Jersey Shore that will give you hours of enjoyment for the entire family. Some on this list are well known, while others might not have been on your holiday lights radar. Some are in Northern Monmouth County, while a few you will need to travel about as far south as you can in our great Garden State. However, they will all be worth it, because they have the money and the resources to put on some of the most spectacular holiday light displays you may have ever seen.

At some places there is more to do than just lights!

While holiday lights is the main draw of these establishments this time of year, there are other fun things to be found at some. Holiday foods, entertainment, ice skating, crafts, ornaments and more! So bring the kids, gas up the family truckster, and bring your card and some cash, for a holiday light show you won’t forget. Speaking of which, don’t forget to bring Cousin Eddie!
