Starting today (June 15), if you had tried to open Internet Explorer on your computer you would have been directed to Microsoft’s more recent browser known as Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft Edge is reportedly faster, more secure, and has a more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer. Edge also addressed a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications.

Of course, it would not be a farewell if social media didn’t make memes and jokes about it. Some people have taken the news more seriously than others due to the fact that it has been around for 27 years.
