5 reasons why the Jets will win the Super Bowl. Yeah yeah, I know, here he goes again with his pie-in-the-sky demented reasoning. I know I’ve given bold Jets predictions in the past both on air and at wrat.com, however this season I feel myself all Jets fans have reason to truly believe!

With the avoidance of major injuries to key components of both the offense and defense, coupled with the strength of the opposing schedule, some AFC East teams taking a step back, and a little luck, the J-E-T-S may have a real shot at the promised land!

Thus I have compiled a hard thought list of 5 reasons why the Jets will win the Super Bowl.

First Let’s Take A Look Back At 2023

Four plays. That’s pretty much all it took for the New York Jets season to end before it began in week one, in front of a national television audience. It was, at the time, before Aaron Rodgers’ injury, perhaps the most exciting moment I had witnessed as a Jets fan. Rodger’s coming running out of the tunnel on 9/11 with the American flag. The music, the light show, the fireworks, the frenzied crowd of 82,000. It was as if the game was a mere afterthought. However, we all know now how delusional we all were. How once again fate reared her ugly head and ripped out our hearts, along with Rodger’s Achilles Tendon.

After that, it was just frustration at its finest. The Jets showed that they had a talent level beyond Rodgers. Just not at the Quarterback position. The defense had a good year. Breese Hall had a nice comeback season from his 2022 injury, and Garret Wilson, although frustrated with lack of targets, still showed why he is one of the premier up and coming Wide Outs in the NFL. The Quarterback situation with Zach Wilson, and the other fill-in QBs, along with problems on the offensive line, was just too much for the disabled Jets to overcome throughout a long and grueling NFL campaign. They ended the season missing the playoffs again, with a 7-10 record, which honestly was pretty impressive, given their set of circumstances. Plus, it showed how much talent the team has. If they can only put it all together.

Well, I believe this year they can! Not only do I think the Jets can have a winning record, not only do I think the Jets can win the division and host playoff games, but here are 5 Reasons Why The Jets Will Win The Super Bowl.

5 Reasons Why The Jets Will Win The Super Bowl…

  • A Healthy Aaron Rodgers Performs For The Entire Season

This is the 225 pound gorilla in the room. Sure ARod looks good now in practice. Seemingly fully healed from the injury that destroyed the Jets season for plays into it. But Rodgers is 40 years old. 41 by the beginning of December. That is scary. Unless your name is Tom Brady, the deck would seem to be stacked against you. However, Rodgers career has been magical at times, and with the right amount of that famous chip on his shoulder and some off season ayahuasca, I believe the old man has a one more magical season in him! It will take more than that though… https://www.instagram.com/p/C-qsOi_Jwvf/?img_index=1

  • The Addition Of A Healthy Mike Williams

The former Clemson start Wide Receiver burst onto the seen 7 seasons ago with the Chargers and has had a couple of 1000 yard receiving seasons. However he will turn 30 this year, and had an injury plagued 2023 as well. Still, his 6’4″ frame, and ability to win contested catches, makes him a perfect compliment to Garret Wilson. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-aZpmGM0ft/

  • A Career Year From Breese Hall

While the Running Back position has been devalued over the past decade, just look at teams like the 49ers and Super Bowl champion Chiefs and you will see that RB1 and RB2 are as important to a championship caliber team as just about any position on the field. Breese is an amazing talent. Able to make tough runs for a couple of yards, bust one for 80 to the house, and yes, make a crucial catch out of the backfield, something Rodgers will need if the O-Line is suspect. Breese Hall needs to make this his year. Now two years removed from his devastating knee injury, Hall needs a career year somewhere in the Christian McCaffery range. If he can pull that off, you can easily check that box as one of the 5 reasons the Jets will win the Super Bowl. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-c6ZxGsPB7/?img_index=1

  • The Jets Defense Becomes The Best Version Of Themselves

Listen, the D is good. The D has been good. CJ and Sauce are the leaders, but they all have to play with intense purpose every game. The Jets don’t know how strong their offense really is. They DO know how powerful their Defense can be if they play to the best versions of themselves, that might have to carry them in some games this year. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-yfBt2PMxF/?img_index=2

  • Coach Saleh Will Push Most Of The Right Buttons

Robert Saleh knows two things heading into Week 1 in San Fran. He’s been handed the keys to a Ferrari, and he better not crash it. Saleh knows this is do or die for him and his coaching staff. Owner Woody Johnson has allowed GM Joe Douglas to go for it, for a second season now, giving Saleh just about all the tools he needs for the ultimate success. It’s not hyperbole, the Jets, on paper have a VERY talented team. Saleh has been on the hot seat for a while now, and barring major injuries early on, if the team gets off to a bad start, he’s gonna hear it, and he will not survive the season. I think he’s a good man. A stoic man. I think he has gained knowledge and confidence over the last couple of years. I also think that having Aaron Rodgers as a coach on the field is going to manifest itself into unbridled success. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-bKOjvvV8X/?img_index=1
