Let’s start with football…where the Giants beat the Green Bay Packers in one of two Monday Night Football games…final score…Giants 24, Packers 22. Saquon Barkley rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns…but had a weird fumble at the end of the game that led to a Green Bay touchdown. While Saquon played great, the flukey fumble ultimately put the Packers ahead with around a minute-and-a-half to go.
But Giants QB Tommy DeVito guided the G-Men down the field with a minute-and-a-half to go…the big play coming on a pass to Wan’Dale Robinson. The 32-yards pass play made MetLife Stadium erupt with applause as it got the G-Men all the way down to the Green Bay 18-yard line.
The Giants then ran the clock down to a few seconds and brought out new kicker Randy Bullock. Bullock then made the game-winning field goal with no time on the clock and the G-Men won the nationally-televised game! Big Blue improves to 5 and 8. Hey, they’re still in it!
Meanwhile, did you see Tommy DeVito’s agent Sean Stellato (who calls himself the “Italian Stallion of Sports Agents”) became a TV and Internet star last night as the guy screamed “North Jersey” and is the perfect fit for a QB nick-named “Tommy Cutlets.” I thought he looked like one of Fat Tony’s henchmen myself.
Anyway…it’s a fun time to be a Giants fan! Yeah…the team is 5 and 8…but they’ve won three games in a row…MetLife Stadium is rocking lately…and Tommy Cutlets is the man! Go Big Blue! I’m Davey Mac…now on to the Scoreboard!
