Good morning, Sports fans!   Davey Mac here and we’ve got a big Sports Report for ya!   But before we get to the scoreboard…it’s come to our attention that Serena Williams may unretire in tennis.

As a result, it goes us thinking, “Who are some of the biggest names to ever retire in Sports history?”

5.) Brett Favre

Brett Favre was the first big name NFL QB to pull the “Should I retire…should I not retire” stuff.   For that…he’s on this list!

4.) Tom Brady

Let’s be honest…no matter how many times he retires…Brady may never quit playing football.   The guy could be immortal.

3.) “Sugar” Ray Leonard

“Sugar” Ray retired…but then decided to come back and defeated “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler in a boxing classic.

2.) Jim Palmer

In 1991, 45-year-old pitching legend Jim Palmer attempted a comeback with the Orioles.   Unfortunately, it didn’t last long.

1.) Michael Jordan

Numero uno, baby.   Michael accomplished a threepeat in the NBA Finals.   Retired.   Played baseball.   Unretired.   And won another three NBA Finals in a row.   Icon.

  • Bears Beat Pats on 'MNF'

    The Bears dominated the Patriots on Monday Night Football…final score…Bears 33…Patriots 14.   Bears QB Justin Fields threw for 179 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown.   Meanwhile, New England coach Bill Belichick benched QB Mac Jones in the game…we’ll see who Belichick starts in the next game…as the Patriots fall to 3 and 4.   The Bears improve to 3 and 4.

  • Jets' Hall Out For Season

    Staying with football for a second.   Bad news for Jets fans.   Standout rookie running back Breece Hall will be out for the season after suffering an MCL tear and meniscus injury.   Hall was considered one of the best offensive rookies in the league.

  • Jets Trade For Jags Running Back

    Now…upon hearing the news of Hall…the Jets have traded for Jaguars running back James Robinson…who had rushed for 340 yards this year.

  • Knicks Dominate Magic

    The Knicks looked impressive last night as the Knicks easily beat the Orlando Magic…115 to 102.   Knicks big man Julius Randle had 25 points and 12 rebounds…as the Knicks improve to 2 and 1.

  • Nets Lose To Grizz

    The Nets lost to the Grizzlies…134 to 124…despite 37 points from Kyrie Irving.   The Net fall to 1 and 2.

    The Sixers defeated the Pacers…120 to 106.   James Harden had 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists.  Philly improves to 1 and 3.

    The Devils lost to the Capitals…6 to 3.   The Devils are now 3-3-0 for the season.   The Rangers and Flyers were inactive.

    Serena Williams would like you to know that she’s NOT retired, and the chances of her returning to tennis are, quote, “very high.”      Williams last played in September during the U.S. Open, where she played well and received an emotional farewell from the fans.
