New Viral Trend: Head Bludgeon Videos To The Sound Of AC/DC’s “Back In Black”

You know how Buffalo Bills fans jump off their pickup trucks and crash through tables?  Well, AC/DC fans saw that and said, “Hold my Foster’s.”

Because the new viral trend is for one person to play “Back in Black” on guitar, while someone else smashes them in the head with a frying pan to the beat.

The person taking the beating IS generally wearing some type of protective head gear.

It seems that this, um, practice may have begun a year ago with some people riffing on entertaining things to do while playing or listening to AC/DC… However this idea of absolutely crushing someone in the head with a frying pan is as recent as November, according to the No Sweat News editor.

Just to say out in the open before we go any further:  this looks dangerous.  Yeah, there’s head protection involved but this could be the kind of thing you might want to avoid replicating.

That being said:  Enjoy the insanity:

  • You Gotta Love This Helmet

    No question, the type of headgear matters. I never really thought I’d say that about playing music on a video. I thought I’d always be considering protective headgear when it came to mountain biking or skiing or riding my motorcycle. But while playing guitar? Nope, didn’t see that coming.

    But this fella gets us started in medieval style.

  • This Guy Adds Eye Protection, Not A Bad Idea

    This dude could be my favorite because his guitar skills seem the boldest.  Seemingly unaffected by the constant smashes to his noggin, my man plays on!  Nice touch by the frying pan girl to help tap out the beat at the beginning.

  • Double The Dudes, Double The Fun?

    While usually I’d agree that more is better, in this case I just can’t agree.  I love the color coordinated head gear on this video… but that’s where it ends for me.  This video is missing the “clang” of the other videos.  And, I’ve decided it’s the clang that makes it so good.

    Sure, the matched helmets are nice… But lets face it, they look like popcorn bowls, not helmets.  And that those aren’t frying pans that they’re getting slammed in the head with.  So, I’m going to have to give this one a FAIL.

  • You Gotta Love The Kid In This One

    The absolutely insane joy that this kid gets smashing her mum in the head with a frying plan makes this my favorite video of the insane bunch.  Plus her devil horns at the end are the icing on the cake.
