Good morning, Sports fans!  It’s your official ambassador of athletics here…Davey Mac…and I’ve got a big-time Sports Report for ya!  We’ve got not one but TWO Game Sevens in the Major League Baseball Championship Series!  A surprise on Monday Night Football!  Huge basketball deal!  And more!  But first!

Did you see Derek Jeter on MLB On FOX recently?  This is his first season on the studio team with David Ortiz, Alex Rodriguez, and Kevin Burkhardt.  And since the American League Championship Series is in Texas…”Big Papi” broke out some cowboy hats for everyone to wear.  But, “The Captain” was having none of it.  “Real New Yorkers don’t wear those,” stated Jeter, as he denied the hat.  Check out the clip below.

FOX Sports: MLB on Twitter: "It's officially felt hat season in Texas 🤠😉@kevinburkhardt | @AROD | @davidortiz | @derekjeter pic.twitter.com/3FUY8ONrqq / Twitter"

So what do you think?  I’m looking online and people are quite mixed on this viral video.  Some people think Jeter is about as fun as a box of socks…while others think Jeter retained his coolness while the others guys looked like clowns.  What say you?

Is Jeter not much fun…or did he just pull a Clint Eastwood and quietly (and humorously) tell “Big Papi” to screw off?  I choose the latter!  F— the Astros and Rangers!  And F— the dumb hat!  It’s integrity like THAT which made Jeter a first-ballot Hall Of Famer!  God bless Number Two!  God bless “The Captain”!  I’m Davey Mac…now on to the Scoreboard!
