Young Entrepreneurs Getting Ready Open The One Stop Eco-Shop In Toms River
It’s time for you to meet twins, Brooke and Madison Loza, two very impressive young women from Brick, New Jersey. The Seton Hall University nursing students are about to open the very first zero-waste store and refillery in Ocean County.
The dream to create a zero-waste store to reduce the amount of trash that goes into our landfill is about to become a reality.
The Loza sisters strive to make sustainable products more accessible for our community so that we can all contribute to a low waste future!
Imagine heading into a store with your own eco-friendly bags and containers and filling them with hundreds of household and pantry items like spices, flour, produce, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and variety of health and beauty items.
It all started in 2020 when Brooke Loza, also known as The Eco Twin, started an Instagram account to raise awareness about the waste that was and still is threatening our planet.
What started out as zero waste product guides and informational posts, turned into easy and affordable ways people like herself could become more sustainable and work towards a low waste lifestyle.
Throughout the years, Brooke and her sister Madison believed that everyone should have access to sustainable and affordable zero waste products which drove them to start a business.
A year later, the online version of the One Stop Eco Shop was born. As two high school graduates and now nursing students in college, Brooke and Madison will continue to empower change towards a more sustainable future.

It wasn’t easy to get this operation off the ground, but with help and support of a funding platform called, “I Fund Women”, their parents, Aunt Michelle, extended friends and family, and one of my favorite WRAT listeners, “Rick the UPS Guy”, the physical store is slated to open on May 20, 2023 at 1174 Fischer Blvd, Toms River. I’ll be at the grand opening, and I hope you will too.

You can also check out their booth every Saturday at the Brick Farmer’s Market at Windward Beach from May 6th through September 30th, 2023 from 8:30am – 1:30pm.
