RAT Rock News

Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin continued their ‘Hanukkah Sessions’ series last night – the fifth night of Hanukkah – with a cover of a Bob Dylan classic.

Embedded below is Grohl and Kurstin’s take on “Rainy Day Women ♯12 & 35” from Dylan’s 1966 album Blonde on Blonde. The cover’s description on YouTube punnily read, “So now everybody must get stoned (not in the Law of Moses sense) as we put some blood on this track: Rainy Day Women 12&35 by the immortal Bob Dylan!”

Grohl and Kurstin’s “Hanukkah Sessions” have featured a diverse selection of cover songs honoring various Jewish artists in the music world. Each night of Hanukkah is marked with the release of a new cover. The four previous nights included covers from the Beastie Boys, Drake, Mountain and Peaches.
