RAT Rock News

Tom Morello took to Twitter to share his thoughts on a viral video showing two supporters of President Donald Trump dancing to Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing In The Name.”

The video, which has garnered millions of views on Twitter, was retweeted by Morello along with the comment, “Not exactly what we had in mind.”

Rage Against the Machine’s Twitter account also chimed in with, “They just don’t GET IT do they?” Considering the song’s themes of policy brutality, it’s especially ironic to see one of those dancing supporters where a Blue Lives Matter flag. In short, it makes about as much sense as that guy who got mad at Morello this past summer for being too political.

Rage Against the Machine saw a significant bump in streams for its 1992 self-titled debut album, which features “Killing In The Name,” throughout the summer following the police brutality protests stemming from the murder of George Floyd.
