K/DA Give Us “MORE”, Featuring New League of Legends Champion Seraphine
What We Asked For
At the end of the day, K/DA is a marketing passion project for League of Legends. Riot Games’ intuitive knowledge of the esports space also means they know what esports “sounds” like as well. With “More” they continue to blur the lines between content, marketing, and actual music-making. It’s a fantastic project that fans can only feel great about. This time around, the original voices of K/DA return to lend their talents to the project. SOYEON and MIYEON of (G)I-DLE provide vocals for Akali and Ahri as they always have. But Madison Beer and Jaira Burns come back to voice Evelynn and Kai’sa. The track itself is more aggressive than “POP/STARS”, their original single. That seems to run through “The Baddest” as well, making them feel like what a K-Pop group from America would sound like. It’s fascinating. The Newcomer
Also, featured on background vocals and a bridge is Seraphine. She’s voiced by Chinese artist and model, Lexie Liu and marks the first time Mandarin is spoken in a K/DA track. The move makes perfect sense as the Finals for League take place in Shanghai this year. Seraphine is one of the most interesting experiments from a video game company to date. She has full-blown social media accounts, she blocks toxic people, posts “behind the scenes” pics of the K/DA collective. It’s all very cool, yet bizarre and wildly effective. To date, she has 330k followers on Twitter and 340k on Instagram.honored to wear these qipao designs with Kai'Sa 💎 pic.twitter.com/B2zZZoZrAh
