The new Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers box set An American Treasure comes out next Friday (September 28), and fans received another preview of the four-disc set with the never-before-released track “Gainesville.”
Embedded below, “Gainesville” was recorded during the sessions for the 1999 album Echo, and, as most fans would expect, the song takes its name from Petty’s hometown in Florida. “Gainesville” is the third preview of An American Treasure following “Keep a Little Soul” and “You and Me (Clubhouse Version).”
