Details On New Sex Pistols Book
A new book about the Sex Pistols is coming in October to mark the 40th anniversary of the group’s debut album Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols.
As the title indicates, 1977: The Bollocks Diaries chronicles the tumultuous year that, according to publisher Cassell Illustrated, “the year the Sex Pistols changed everything.”
The authorized book purports to be “the inside line, told by the people who were there…straight from the mouths of the Sex Pistols and their collaborators, with first-hand stories of secret gigs, recording sessions, fights, record label meltdowns and a media storm like nothing ever seen before…”
It will feature “photography and rare items from the Sex Pistols archives — from gig posters and early album art to master tapes and notes from the recording sessions — this is the final word on a year like no other.”
The book is currently available for pre-order. The Sex Pistols, meanwhile, have been dormant since the group’s last reunion tour during 2008.
