10 More Of The Best Sandwich Places In Ocean County That You Suggested!

Boy did you come for me !! Back on October 11, 2022, I created a list of some of the best sandwich joints in Toms River and other Ocean County towns. Thanks to you, I realized that I need to get out of the house more.

My fellow sub lovers, your passion for subs, sandwiches, wraps, and other meals that include some sort of bread product, has inspired me to make another list.
Some of you should be wearing a crown or some sort of championship belt for being the sub or sandwich kings of the Jersey Shore. I appreciate you, I really do. I never took your words as an attack on my taste buds or on my original choices of sandwich joints. I took your comments as constructive criticism and a reminder that I really need to do a sandwich tour with most of you in tow.

Here’s a list compiled with the help of those who spoke out to let me know what I’ve been missing.

  • Diesel's Subs & Wraps - 950 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721

    I’ll let Gen’s Google review guide the way: “Have seen this spot for months and finally decided to stop in and give them a try. Was greeted by 6 smiling young teens ready to assist. I got a ham & Swiss sub and it was very good. The amount of meat that was on there was enough for an entire other sandwich. All the add ins were fresh. There was a wide selection of condiments as well. My only suggestion would be to maybe have another selection of bread type. I love a good semolina bread with my sub and I think it would be a great add on. The location is clean and has great drink and chip selection as well. Great sandwich with great service.

    I got hammered more times than I care to count because I left this 5 star Google reviewed place off the original list. That will never happen again!! Not only does this place make incredible subs, they really know how to bake!!

     

     

  • Sub Doctors - 167 NJ-37 A, Toms River, NJ 08755

    My friend Jenn Dah called me out for not including Sub Doctors, and so did quite a few others. Plus I was told that the broccoli and cheese bites are bangin’

    Lunchbox soupA place that received a ton of praise for both their subs and their breakfast sandwiches!  They are also legendary for overstuffing their subs and their homemade hearty soups. Plus, Harold and his crew are just awesome!Lunch box 1

     

     

     

  • Prime Food Market - 449 Herbertsville Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724

    Another place I didn’t include on the original list and again, you guys came for me, HARD!  Great food, great staff, and an excellent choice to cater your next event. Plus, they use Boar’s Head cold cuts.

  • Mid-Shore Meats - 801 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, NJ 08753

    The Wednesday Warriors Food Tour crew eats here!!  Excellent cuts of meats, all kinds of stuffed breads, pasta, and of course killer subs!

  • Lucky 7 Deli & Market - 1980 NJ-37, Manchester Township, NJ 08759

    I’ve enjoyed a few good breakfast sandwiches from this place, as well as a few subs chocked full of meat! How the heck did I forget them?

  • L GOURMET - 352 Atlantic City Blvd, Beachwood, NJ

    . L Gourmet. Led by Chef Lori Samul, we’ve been serving garden- and farm-to-table dishes in Beachwood since 2005. Thanks for the heads up to all who turned me on to this place I never knew existed.

     

  • Claudio's Gourmet Sandwich Shop - 634 Mantoloking Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08723

    Small place on Mantoloking Road.  Daniel stopped by for lunch and  said the menu had plenty of options. Fresh sliced meats and fresh mozzerella,  you can’t go wrong but the bread is the star of the show. Crunchy and delicious sandwich I got the #5 and could only finish half. will definitely be back. It’s those tiny places that we drive by all of the time that deserve our attention.

  • Lenny's Colonial Ranch Market - 3108 Bridge Ave, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742

    According to Patty: “The place is always packed but lines move quickly because the workers hustle. Amazing selection of prepared foods that are always delicious. Their chicken salad is beyond amazing, as is their store made vodka sauce and marinara. Her favorites are the eggplant rollatini and the grilled steak sub.
