This “Pay it Forward” thing at Bradley Beach brewery is very cool. A lot of coffee shops do this kind of thing and every now and then you’ll see a diner do something like this. It’s a “pay it forward” board. When the other places do it, it’s a “buy lunch for a single mom” type thing. Or, “buy coffee for a fireman in training”. But at Bradley Brew Project it’s taken a different vibe.
Bradley Beach Brewery Pay It Forward
The Bradley Brew Project in Bradley Beach has bulletin board as you walk in. Tacked onto the board at this Bradley Beach brewery are little tabs of paper with hand written notes. The notes aren’t written by management, they’re clearly written by patrons. Each note represent a beer purchased “for someone”.
As I just said, usually these sorts of things can get pretty serious. Buying a meal for a single mom at the diner is a lot more important than buying a cold, frothy beverage for someone. But, as you can see below, there’s still a few really heartwarming notes.
At any given time you might find a beer hanging on the board specifically for:
- A new mom on her first night out
- A locomotive engineer
- Someone who doesn’t quite “get” a famous local musician
- A middle school teacher because, well, that’s a tough job
Who knows, maybe there’s a beer tag hanging there for a “hard working morning radio host“? Wait, what?! Hmmmm!
Bradley Brew Project’s New Venture
By the way, the same people who started the Bradley Beach brewery BBP announced last summer that they have a new venture called “Tall Oaks Farm and Brewery”. Tall Oaks is out in Farmingdale, New Jersey on Colts Neck Road. Not too sure if Tall Oaks has a “Pay It Forward” board but I’ve heard the vibe there is pretty darn cool.
