Why 5FDP Had to Withdraw from Metallica Gig in Amsterdam
Five Finger Death Punch is one of many bands providing support on Metallica's upcoming world tour. Unfortunately, 5FDP has to withdraw from their support duties at Metallica’s April 29 show in Amsterdam.
In a statement shared via Facebook, the band writes, “As many of you know, Ivan recently had surgery to correct an acute hernia injury. The recovery proved more challenging than initially thought and on the advice of his doctors, Ivan and Five Finger Death Punch will not be able to perform the show in Amsterdam with Metallica.”
The statement concluded, “5FDP will perform ALL subsequent scheduled dates. See you in Paris!”
Metallica’s April 27 and 29 shows in Amsterdam will be followed up with shows in Paris on May 17 and 19. The metal icons return to North America in August for a run of 14 shows. All 2023 North American tour dates are below. Metallica also has a run of North American shows lineup up for 2024. Their complete itinerary can be found at Metallica.com/tour.
