Dublin Man Gets Arrested For Public Intoxication, Tells Cops He’s Jon Bon Jovi
A Dublin man was arrested recently on charges of public intoxication and told cops he was Jon Bon Jovi. (Spoiler: He was not.)
Per Ireland’s Sunday World, Daniel Filip, 43, was found drunk and surrounded by beer cans after he had been out having drinks with some friends. The arresting officer found Filip sitting on the ground and asked for his name, to which he replied, “Jon Bon Jovi.”

Filip had a clean record prior to the arrest. When he appeared before a judge for the public intoxication charge, the judge ruled they’d not add the charge to his record so long as he donated €200 to Focus Ireland, a non-profit that aims to end homelessness in Ireland.
Filip asked to be given some time to come up with the money for the donation and said he was “struggling financially.” As a result, the case was adjourned until April.
