Tool Projected to Kick Taylor Swift from Top of Billboard Charts and Her Fans are Not Pleased
Tool and the release of their long-awaited album Fear Inoculum was by far the biggest story coming out of the rock world last week, and it looks like the band could have the momentum to knock Taylor Swift and her new album, Lover, from the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.
According to Hits Daily Double, Fear Inoculum is projected to move between 240,000-260,000 album units, with about 220,000-240,000 coming from pure album sales. Lover in its second week of release is estimated to move between 185,000-200,000 albums, with about 95,000-105,000 coming from pure album sales.
All things considered, that’s a very impressive second sales week, but Swift’s fans are none too pleased at the thought that a bunch of middle-aged guys who haven’t released an album in over a decade might knock their precious Tay-Tay from number one. Just look at some of her fan’s tweet very much freaking out over all of this.
