VIDEO: Flashmob Sings “Wish You Were Here” in Dublin Train Station
September 10 in World Suicide Prevention Day, and a group in Ireland gathered at a local train station to honor the day with one of Pink Floyd’s most enduring hits.
The video below shows about 120 people accompanied by two guitarists and a pianist in a very emotional performance of “Wish You Were Here.” Grab a tissue or two, because you’ll likely need them after this clip.
While it’s important to circulate information about services like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, it’s equally, if not more, important to know of warning signs like feeling hopeless, like a burden to others; depression/anxiety; lack of interest/withdrawing; easily angered or agitated; and increased drinking or substance use. Those who are suffering won’t always reach out for help. Educate yourself so you’re able to help others in need.
