Vinnie Paul News Round-Up: HELLYEAH Tribute Video, Phil Anselmo Performance
Vinnie Paul Abbott has been laid to rest, but that doesn’t mean his friends have stopped honoring the late drummer.
HELLYEAH published the following video to their Facebook page today (July 6) that shows clips of Vinnie Paul performing live and interacting with bandmates and fans backstage set to the band’s single “Thank You.” The video is prefaced with a previously recorded message from Vinnie Paul where he thanks his fans for all of their support throughout his career, especially in the years after the death of his brother, “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.
In other Vinnie Paul news: At a July 5 show in Baltimore with his current band Scour, Phil Anselmo dedicated the band’s performance of Pantera’s “Slaughtered” to his former bandmate.
