U2 Intimate Show At The Apollo Theater, Dedicates Song To Anthony Bourdain
The show only seated 1,500 invited guests.
The band performed 18 songs according to Ultimate Classic Rock, which included “I Will Follow,” “Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get OUt Of,” and of course, “Angel Of Harlem.” The audience had some big names in it as well, including Jon Bon Jovi, Steven Van Zandt and Harry Belafonte.
The song “Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get Out Of” was dedicated to Chef and Personality Anthony Bourdain, who committed suicide this week. Bono spoke on the dedication, “It’s hard to lose a friend… to lose a mate. This band has been through that.” He also called Bourdain “a great storyteller who had stories he couldn’t tell us,” according to PageSix.
