Dave Mustaine Goes Public With Lyme Disease Diagnosis
Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine has joined the ranks of ailing rockers.
Mustaine has revealed during a Facebook chat with fans that he contracted Lyme disease after suffering “a tick bite from the farm that made me really sick for the last few months and I am really tired.” He did, however, reassure fans that, “I’m ok. Don’t worry.”
Megadeth was opening for Scorpions on a recent tour that ended early on October 7 after frontman Klaus Meine was diagnosed with severe laryngitis and advised to rest or risk permanent vocal damage.
Mustaine, meanwhile, is slated to appear at the Loudwire Music Awards on Tuesday (October 24) in Los Angeles before Megadeth returns to the road October 29 in Chile for a short South American tour.
