6 Artists Eligible for the Rock Hall in 2025
With every passing year, more artists become eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Artists become eligible for induction into the Rock Hall 25 years after their first release, which can be an LP, and EP, or a single.
With that in mind, here are six artists eligible for the Rock Hall in 2025.
Linkin Park
Believe it or not, Linkin Park’s debut album, Hybrid Theory, was released in 2000. The album was a massive success worldwide selling 32 million copies, with 12 million copies sold in the United States. Overall, Linkin Park has sold 100 million albums worldwide. The band was one of nu metal’s biggest successes. In recent years, Gen Z has really embraced nu metal, and Linkin Park is now reaching a new generation of fans that weren’t even alive when Hybrid Theory blew up.
Pink
Pink arrived on the scene in 2000 with her debut album Can’t Take Me Home. While her debut LP was in the lane of R&B, the singer would embrace more rock and pop elements on subsequent albums, like 2001’s Missundaztood, 2003’s Try This, 2006’s I’m Not Dead, and 2008’s Funhouse. Pink has grown into a massive concert draw and one of the most adventurous performers of her, or any, generation. (Seroiously, has she ever met a live stunt she didn’t love?)
Disturbed
Disturbed is eligible for the Rock Hall in 2025 thanks to their 2000 debut album The Sickness. In the two-and-a-half decades since the band’s debut, they continue to surprise their fans and perform outstanding live shows. Truthfully, David Draiman is an absolute vocal powerhouse who doesn’t get enough credit for his voice.
Good Charlotte
Good Charlotte’s self-titled debut album was released in 2000 to the delight of the pop-punk/emo masses. Their popularity would explode in 2002 thanks to their sophomore effort, The Young and the Hopeless. The band’s last studio album, Generation Rx, came out in 2018, but Joel Madden said on an October 2024 episode of his podcast that Good Charlotte was going to “put a record out next year.”
Unrelated to all of this: Who else is still in awe of Joel and Benji Madden hitting the wife jackpot with Nicole Richie and Cameron Diaz? For real, good job, guys!
3 Doors Down
Nu metal isn’t the only early aughts sub-genre to have a resurgence in recent years; post-grunge hard rock has made a comeback, too. In fact, 3 Doors Down, whose hit debut album The Better Life came out in 2000, is hitting the road with Creed in 2025. Their debut and its follow-up, 2002’s Away from the Sun, have sold a combined 11 million copies
Gorillaz
If Gorillaz got inducted into the Rock Hall, it would mark the first time a “virtual” band would be let into the Rock Hall, which would cause quite the debate. (Then again, nearly every decision made by the Rock Hall leads to a debate.) The brainchild of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the first release from Gorillaz was their 2000 EP Tomorrow Comes Today. While that EP was only released in the UK, their first two studio albums — 2001’s Gorillaz and 2005’s Demon Days — were big hits.
