Rockaway to Open Massive Doughnut Plant, Producing 1 Million Daily in New Jersey Expansion
In a big business move, Rockaway Holding Group LLC has signed a lease for a massive 124,556-square-foot factory in Rockaway, New Jersey. The company aims to make one million fresh donuts daily from this huge space at 25 Green Pond Road. The move from their smaller 40,000-square-foot Lodi location represents a major expansion. This facility will become one of North America’s biggest donut producers when fully operational. “This facility will serve as a transformative hub for Rockaway Holding Group, enabling them to support their client at an even greater scale,” said Daniel Foley to VandeWeerdre.
Sitting on 13 acres of land, the property sold for $19.6 million in 2022. Party City previously occupied 106,000 square feet of this space before the sale. CNN has reported that Party City is closing down many of its stores.
The deal was completed with help from brokers on both sides. Savills’ Executive Managing Director Daniel Foley represented the manufacturer, while Stephen Sander and Steve Elman from Cushman & Wakefield worked for 25 Green Pond Investors LLC. With three times the production space, they’re ready to handle growing customer demand. The 15-year lease shows they’re confident about long-term growth.
This big operation means more jobs coming to the area. It’s another indication that New Jersey’s food production industry continues to grow stronger.
