Lzzy Hale Joins White Panda on 4 Non Blondes Cover of ‘What’s Up?’
Lzzy Hale is lending her bombastic voice to a cover song along with EDM artist White Panda.
The cover is of the 4 Non Blondes hit “What’s Up?,” which was released in 1993. “What’s Up?” was written and sung by Linda Perry. The song peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 14 but topped the charts in a number of countries, including Sweden, Austria, Ireland and Germany.
While 4 Non Blondes became a ’90s one-hit wonder, Perry went on to have an incredibly successful career as a songwriter and producer. Perry was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.
In the YouTube caption of the cover’s video, White Panda said in a statement, “Loved getting together with Lzzy Hale for a fresh take on the 4 Non Blondes classic — hope you all like it!”
“What’s Up?” featuring Hale can be heard below and is available for streaming and download here.
What’s New with Lzzy Hale and Halestorm?
Halestorm has quite the summer ahead of them. Beginning on July 9, the band is hitting the road with I Prevail on a co-headlining tour in North America.
Lzzy Hale said in a statement, “This isn’t your typical summer tour. This is two worlds colliding under one haven for our collective armies and bringing you a show unlike any we’ve done before!”
Meanwhile, I Prevail singer Eric Vanlerberghe said, “Touring with Halestorm is long overdue, as we admire their talent, energy, and dedication to rock music and are thrilled to finally see it happen. This is going to be one of the best tours of the summer and one of the best we’ve ever done.”
