VIDEO: Henry Rollins, Cyndi Lauper Perform Black Flag’s “Rise Above”
Henry Rollins and Cyndi Lauper performing the Black Flag classic “Rise Above” is a duet few likely have thought of, but it’s something that actually happened last night (December 10.)
The performance happened at Lauper’s 9th annual “Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays” benefit concert last night (December 10) where Rollins was on the bill. Even though Lauper looks as if she’s singing from a teleprompter at the foot of the stage, it’s still a weird, wild performance, especially with her bright yellow mohawk-esque hair and puffy plaid dress.
“Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays” bill also featured The Offspring’s Dexter Holland, Marilyn Manson and Perry Farrell with Etty Lau Farrell.
