Motorhead’s Mikkey Dee, Phil Campbell Added to Band’s Rock Hall Nomination
Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell have now been added to the eligible members’ section of Motorhead‘s 2020 nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
There was plenty of outrage when Dee and Campbell, both members of Motorhead for decades, weren’t included as recognized band members when the 2020 Rock Hall nominations were announced last week. Fortunately, the Rock Hall corrected the massive error. Motorhead’s Instagram helped share the news with the photo below along with the caption, “Thanks to everyone who spoke up loudly. Thanks to the #ROCKHALL2020 for listening and adding Phil & Mikkey. All for one and one for all!”
Dee and Campbell join Lemmy Kilmister, “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor as Motorhead members up for induction in 2020.
The 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction class will be announced in January 2020.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, takes place at Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio on May 2, 2020.
The Rock Hall fan vote lasts through January 10, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST. The top five artists from the fan vote will make up the “fans’ ballot” and be counted among the other ballots from the Rock Hall voting committee. Fans can vote for artists in three different ways:
-By searching “Vote Rock Hall 2020” or any nominee name plus “vote” on Google to cast a vote
-By voting at RockHall.com
-By voting in person at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland
