Tool Music Appears to be Headed to Streaming Services
Tool fans are likely rejoicing a little bit today after profiles for the band appeared on Apple Music and Spotify.
The band is one of the last few major acts to not have their catalogs on streaming platforms, and how appropriate that all seems to be changing on the 13th anniversary of their last studio album, 2006’s 10,000 Days. So far, neither profile has Tool music added to it, with the exception of Apple Music which at the time of publishing features a single by an act named Vektor, Shannon & Tool. Clearly, this is a mistake, because the bio listed is very much Tool’s bio.
This all comes a day after guitarist Adam Jones shared a video to his Instagram of what sounds like new music, which lead to fans speculating the band will be performing new material when they headline the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 5.
Of course, both Tool and Maynard James Keenan‘s Twitter accounts shared this adorable image yesterday, which only fed into the fan’s excitement. As with anything related to Tool, stay tuned.
