THROWBACK: The Pretty Reckless Cover Audioslave’s “Like A Stone”
The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen celebrates her birthday today (July 26.) Her deep, bluesy voice helps set her apart from other lead singers, and it was on full display during this incredible tribute to Chris Cornell.
The Pretty Reckless were Soundgarden’s opening act when Cornell suddenly died after a show in Detroit on May 18, 2017. Two days later, the band was performing at 93.3 WMMR’s MMR*B*Q Music Festival in Camden, N.J. when Momsen fronted this chill-inducing rendition of Audioslave’s “Like A Stone.”
Out of the many tributes to Cornell in the wake of his passing, this was one of the best.
