Update on A Perfect Circle’s New LP
A Perfect Circle has promised a new album for the spring of 2018. It is, however, still a work in progress according to guitarist Billy Howerdel.
The group has released one new single, “The Doomed,” and has also been playing the songs “Feathers” and “Hour Glass” during its shows, the latter two since spring. Howerdel tells us he and frontman Maynard James Keenan are still working hard to make sure the new set — APC’s first since 2004’s “Emotive” — makes it out on time:
“There’ll be a new record in the spring…We’re well over the midway point and still working. I’ve got a studio out on the road and Maynard’s still working. He’s still writing. It’s tough on the road. I knew it was gonna be hard, but it’s been tougher than I thought it would be, y’know, to get in a groove and keep going. But we’re about to have a stretch here in about a week when I think it’s gonna be time to get a lot done.”
APC has dates booked through December 4, while Keenan is also still working on a new Tool album, though no release date has been determined for that yet.
