Details on the New QOTSA Album
We know a lot more about the new Queens of the Stone Age album now.
The group has announced that the set will be called Villains, produced by Mark Ronson (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga); The information was revealed via an online video in which the five group members are hooked up to a lie detector and interrogated. Ronson makes a guest appearance in the video as well.
QOTSA revealed that the album had been mixed during April. No release date has been announced yet, but Villains is expected during late summer or early fall, with a tour to follow.
Frontman Josh Homme, meanwhile, also wrote the score for the new film In The Fade, and he co-directed the documentary American Valhalla about his Post Pop Depression collaboration with Iggy Pop, which will show in theaters on June 29 in Canada and July 11 in the U.S. Details and theaters can be found at AmericanValhallaMovie.com.
