Favorite Past-Time: Whipping up a gourmet meal and making Rockyn Robyn’s bad ass brownies for RAT listeners.

Life Long Goal: To bring happiness to as many people as possible.

Music I Grew Up With: Can you say Top 40 radio fanatic? 77 WABC and Dan Ingram ruled my life. Carol King, The Carpenters, Olivia Newton John and so many other great artists from my childhood. One of my favorite songs of all time is The Bee Gee’s tune “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” .It is one of the greatest songs ever written, I still cry whenever I hear it. Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb are absolute geniuses. The Gibb Brothers wrote some of pop music’s greatest songs, they’re right up there with Lennon and McCartney, and Brian Wilson. I am addicted to 70’s pop, and I am a big fan of timeless artists like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole. I love getting lost in music!!!!! Who says Metallica and The Bee Gees can’t hang out together in my CD collection. Great music is great music…PERIOD!!!!

Favorite Songwriters: Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb,Brian Wilson, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Neil Diamond, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and so MANY others!!!!!

Absolute Favorite Composition Of All Time: Rhapsody In Blue

Favorite Rat Rock Artists: Van Halen, AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, Disturbed, Guns n Roses, Clutch, Black Label Society, and Tool.

Favorite Singer Of All Time: Hands down Mr Roy Orbison…The song “Crying” sends a chill through me anytime I hear it. You must check out the version he did with the great K.D. Lang..the video is up on YouTube.

Greatest Concert Ever: AC/DC at The Roseland Ballroom the day after they were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They blew the roof off that sucker!!!!!!

Most Recent Concerts That Blew Me Away: On November 21,2008 It Was All About Brian Wilson at The Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC.

The Man Still Has It!! Brian’s Band Was Absolutely Phenomenal, A Unique Collection of Incredibly Talented Musicians. BRIAN WILSON Is Absolutely Brilliant In Every Way, Shape, And Form. Thank You Brian For Continuing To Make Great Music And Taking It On The Road. “That Lucky Old Sun” Album Is A Real Gem.

January 31,2009– Metallica Took The Stage At The Prudential Center In Lovely Newark, New Jersey: I Can Only Recall Bits And Pieces Of the Show As My Head Was Still In The Clouds From Interviewing The Great Kirk Hammett For 30 Minutes Earlier In The Day. Metallica ALWAYS Blows Me Away, And The Parts Of The Show That I Do Remember Were Unbelievable, Especially When They Brought That Kid On Stage…That Little Kid’s Life Will Never Be The Same!!!!

On February 14,2009 – I had the privilege of seeing Barry Gibb perform at an event for Diabetes Research. I never had the funds or the opportunity to see The Bee Gees when I was a kid, so this was a real treat for me. Barry was PURE MAGIC!! What made it even more magical was seeing Olivia Newton- John on stage singing with him. Olivia Newton- John has always been one of my favorite female vocalists, so this was a huge moment for me!!! Barry And Olivia’s voices, STILL STUNNING as ever!!! No words could ever describe how I felt seeing the two of them together for the first time ever. After the performance I had the chance to hand Barry a letter that he put in his inside jacket pocket. I handed it to him near the stage before he came out to greet the crowd on the Ballroom floor. I don’t know if he ever read it, but at least he kindly accepted it. After I gave him the letter I just walked away as it was too hectic to have any kind of conversation with him. The minute he came out onto the floor from the backstage area, his fans descended upon him like bees to honey. It was insane watching people push their way through the crowd to get their picture taken with him or to get his autograph…I’ve never seen an artist handle a crowd with grace and patience like Barry Gibb. I’ve been in the music business since I was a teenager, so I’ve seen more than my fair share of artist /fan gatherings. Thanks Barry for the brilliant performance, and for graciously accepting my letter. Extra special thanks to you and your family for doing all you do to raise money and awareness for Diabetes Research. My Mother and many other people I love have diabetes …Let’s hope a cure can be found in our Lifetime. I TRULY BELIEVE EVERY WORD OF THE QUOTE BELOW!!!!!
I pray that we may at all times keep our minds open to new ideas and shun dogma; that we may grow in our understanding of the nature of all living beings and our connectedness with the natural world; that we may become ever more filled with generosity of spirit and true I pray that we may learn the peace that comes with forgiving and the strength we gain in loving; that we may learn to take nothing for granted in this life; that we may learn to see and understand with our hearts; that we may learn to join in our being.
