I’m looking at you JERSEY FOOD WARRIORS and WEDNESDAY WARRIORS!

Most of the pizza photos I post are courtesy of both Warrior factions. These folks are constantly going on pizza runs across the state to let us know where to go for great pizza.

    I don’t think Shore Slice gets enough love. People from outside the state love this place as much as the locals.
    Aliya from Ohio said, “All the way from Ohio, we HAD to try Shore Slice. Joe, the owner, was so kind to us, made sure we had everything we needed and took such good care of us. The food was AMAZING. Some of the best pizza, garlic knots, fries and cheese curds I’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!”

    Not one of the super well known places, but after searching comments on shore message boards and food pages, I’m convinced they should be on this list. Jennifer M. claims the Pizza Ala Norma is the best thing she’s eaten this Summer.

  • Zoni's Brooklyn Brick - 287 NJ-35, Middletown Township, NJ 07701

    My research indicates the Margherita pie is probably the best in the area.  So many people have given this place high marks for not only the pizza, but the food in general. Service here is on point.

  • Joe Spano's Tomato Pies - 2505 Bridge Ave, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742

    The Jersey Food Warrior General, Tom Fornicola made a stop here along with fellow JFW crew member Billy Edwards and his 9 year old son Jake. They ordered a vodka pie and the namesake tomato pie,  both warrior approved with the tomato pie taking the blue ribbon.

    I saw a review from a woman from Brooklyn who said, “I’ve been looking for a a pizza similar in look and taste to L&B Spumoni Garden’s “Flip Flop” pie and this place was similar.” I think that could seal the deal for me.

  • Federici's Family Restaurant - 14 E Main St, Freehold, NJ 07728

    A thin crust with all that delicious cheese. Federici’s is a go to for thousands of locals I know. My friend and listener, Wally has been coming here for over 30 years! He said, “. Hands down the best thin crust pizza in the tri-state. Go on, get your Fed’s Fix.

    July 1, 2021 marked the 100-year anniversary of Federici’s Family Restaurant, which has operated from its East Main Street location since 1921.

    Shout to Jimmy Capone and the crew, we love you!  High standards and high fives for this local Toms River institution.

    Whether you order a plain pie or one of their gourmet creations, one thing is for sure, you’re getting a quality product.

    If you know me, then you know I’m going for the Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Pie. See you at Capone’s.

    I had never heard of this place until I kept seeing it pop up on a few food pages I go to on the regular. Recently Dave McTernan from the JFW posted about Brianni’s, and that was an omen that I should include them on this list. Plus they have a 4.7 Google review.

    One of my new favorite places in my neck of the woods. Happy to have another great place in Ocean County to get good pizza and Italian food. My friend Jimmy Roland turned me on to this place,  and all I can say is “Thanks Jimmy”

    Another Warrior approved place and the locals love it too,

    Kim I. said, “Ordered 4 XL pies last night for a group of family members taking pictures on the beach. All 15 people loved the pizza and my teenage son was having second helpings, cold, out of refrigerator at 2am. He can’t decide now if it’s better hot or cold so we will have to go back for more testing. The owners and staff were working hard and very personable.”

    A real Mom & Pop shop loved dearly by the locals. I got wind of this place some time ago thanks to the Jersey Pizza Joints Crew.

    Excellent all around spot. Lots of buzz on the boards and the streets about their Jersey Devil specialty pizza with the hot cherry peppers. Spicy is Nicey!

    A nice family run pizza restaurant with a really lovely name. They give us hope in finding really good pizza, and offer hope to those in need of a gluten free crust. Good work Slices of Hope.

    The Pizza Hulk of social media fame loves this place and who am I to argue. Lots of my foodie friends like this place. A few like the Jackon location the best.

    The first ever boardwalk slice I had when I moved to Jersey was at The Sawmill. At the time it was the biggest slice I’ve ever seen. After all these years, this place is still a top destination for a good pizza pie and an ice cold beverage.
