On Friday, August 28th, New Jersey’s own Starland Ballroom was rocked by a myriad of bands at 95.9 The Rat Presents: Buckcherry featuring Saint Asonia.  On the bill included local opener Machine Elves (featuring singer Joey Calveri, known for his role as Stacee Jaxx in Broadway’s Rock of Ages musical), Akron, Ohio natives Red Sun Rising, and “Tennessippi” rockers Saving Abel.  The Rat’s own Rockin’ Robyn hit the stage to introduce Saint Asonia, the new project featuring former Three Days Grace lead singer Adam Gontier and Staind guitarist Mike Mushok.  Performing new, original material from the self titled record, they also threw in some songs from their previous projects – such as Three Days Grace hits “Animal I Have Become” and “I Hate Everything About You”, as well as Staind’s “Mudshovel” and “For You”.  Rockin’ Robyn took the stage once more to give longtime Starland Ballroom security team member Pete Alfano a farewell to remember – giving him the opportunity to introduce Buckcherry as they took the stage for their headlining set.
