The Medford Oktoberfest and Music Festival rocks Freedom Park in Medford on 9/21 from 11 am to sundown. The annual event features a massive beer tent, German food, food trucks, kid’s activities, a traditional stein-holding contest, vendors, crafters, and a huge business expo. Of course there’s also 3 stages of live music featuring NJ artists. It’s an all ages event. Admission and parking are free. We chat with organizer Mark Oberstaedt and rock 3 of the bands playing the festival:

On 9/30 Chili’s will donate 100% of its profits to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, one of the leading forces in the fight against cancer. Mike Margagliotti, the Hope Captain at Chili’s in Holmdel calls in to the show to talk about his restaurant’s upcoming fudraiser. Ahead of the 9/30 benefit, Mike will hold a pre-benefit event on 9/18 from 3:30pm to 11pm.
