We crank up a great track from last week’s Jersey Rock Band of the Week Kodiak. The 80’s Arena Rock-inspired group is currently working on their debut album with legendary drummer Carmine Appice. Joe Bagnole calls in to the show to tell us about his non-profit’s efforts to raise funds to restore the First Avenue Playhouse in Atlantic Highlands. While the playhouse is not part of the rock scene, it has served the arts in NJ for over 30 years and was the site where Kevin Smith cast his film “Clerks.” On 8/3 Kevin Smith and company will perform a live stage read of the yet-to-be-produced “Clerks III” script to help with the fundraising efforts.
