Registration Now Open For Manasquan Inlet Tug-Of-War
Get ready for the 6th Manasquan Inlet Tug of War which goes down on Sunday, Oct. 13. This is a very cool and friendly competition between Point Pleasant Beach and Manasquan for who takes the credit over the Manasquan Inlet. It is sponsored by Jersey Mike's and does such a great thing as it raises funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which will make the wishes of ill children come true. You can register and donate at charity.pledgeit.org/tug2024. Team captains should follow the instructions at the link. You will need to indicate your team size (6 members, 12 members, or 24 members). Choose “create team” when you're doing your signup. I got to host this last year, and it was so much fun. I couldn't believe that actually have a rope that long and goes from Manasquan to Point Pleasant. Just watching the two teams pulling a 1,200-foot rope across the Manasquan Inlet just itself sounds crazy, wait till you see it in person. What To Expect From Manasquan Inlet Tug-Of-War As always, the main event is the tug of war across the 500-foot-wide Manasquan Inlet. Check this out on both sides of the Inlet will have live music, delicious food and drinks from local vendors, activities for kids, and even BEER gardens for the adults! Plus, with over $200k raised so far, you can feel good knowing that all proceeds go towards supporting the recreation departments in both towns. Last year's tug of war raised more than $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and more than $23,000 for the Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee. Here at 95.9 The Rat we will be down there showing our love and support for this amazing fundraiser, and catching all the excitement. This will be something you don't want to miss out on.
