This week’s show was recorded at Ocean County Vocational Technical School at Joint Base McGuire-Dix in Lakehurst. We talk with TechFest 9 organizers Bill Bourke and Mary Anne Fekete as well some of the acts performing at Saturday’s show!
Tech Fest 9 rocks the Brick Presbyterian Church, located at 111 Drumpoint Road in Brick this Saturday 3/16 from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The event is put on by students of Ocean County Vocational Technical School’s Performing Arts Academy Tech Club. The organization, lead by Bill Bourke, provides students with real world experience in the music industry. Students of the program learn the ins and outs of live sound, lighting, event coordination, video production and studio recording. Tech Fest allows them the opportunity to showcase their skills and raise money for a great cause.
Admission to Tech Fest is $10 at the door. Proceeds from the event go towards 2 student scholarships. The Dennis Bourke Hopes & Dreams Scholarship Fund is dedicated to and bears the name of Audio Program Founder Dennis Bourke.
